Welcome to MOMO
Driven by 50 years of automotive innovation, Momo tyres provide an excellent compromise between performance, efficiency and value for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and SUVs.
Silica compounds used in the production of Momo Tyres improve the rolling resistance, increase efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and increase grip in all conditions. This mix has positive effects on driving comfort, vehicle handling and braking distance.
History
With a passion for motorsport, Momo was founded in 1964 by race car driver Gianpiero Moretti after a custom steering wheel was produced for his race car. After Moretti claimed a Formula One title in 1964, Momo was born.
The Development
Momo’s production was initially limited to the racing world but in the 1970s new product lines were developed. These included light alloy wheels and steering wheels for road cars, for the aftermarket and original equipment auto manufacturers – starting with Ferrari.
At the end of the 1980s, Momo became an original equipment supplier to Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Citroen, Daihatsu, Fiat, Honda, Isuzu, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Porsche, Peugeot, Renault, Saab, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.
Motorsport
MOMO has been involved in motorsport since the 1960s and has partnered with a number of race teams, fitting racing products including steering wheels to iconic Ferrari and Porsche models. MOMO's fireproof clothing line was launched in 1993.
